Garden Design & process

Our Garden Design process…

The first step is we book you in for a FREE meeting. Let’s have coffee and discuss what you want to achieve, what you want and all your likes and dislikes.

The next part of the process is the design proposal. This consists of the costings, what you will receive, a brief of the previous meeting and what the design involves.

We really hope at this stage we’ve got your brief just right and that you will like us to go ahead with the full garden design, whereby we will now arrange to personally survey your garden. For more complex landscapes, we will organise for a topographical survey to be done on your behalf.

A member of the design team or an external company depending on your and the design teams preferences, will come to your property for a site survey. The site survey will require measurements, making sure that everything will fit in your outdoor space and any health and safety elements that will need to be addressed.

If you are still happy to continue with the design process, we can begin the fun part! We will start drawing the design on your garden. Shortly after, we will send over the first revision and discuss any amendments to the design with you.

You're happy, then we are happy! We can then move forward onto getting the specifications down and any materials that we will need to discuss. Once we’ve had this discussion, we can get a plan ready for the build, so everything will run smoothly.

Now for the planting stage!

This process is separate to the design process. This allows you to investigate the planting style you would like in your garden design. We will create a to-scale plan of the planting to show you each plant and where they will go.

When we've had your approval, we will then create some mood boards of the types of plants, the colour scheme, and textures of the garden. We even add the names of plants too!

When you are happy to move on, we will go through a detailed schedule with you to make sure we have everything in place. This will consist of the type of plants, the quantities of each plant, the different sizes and a breakdown of the pricing.

If you are happy the final step is to get building!
